About the Tolfree Foundation!

The Tolfree Foundation was incorporated in 1992 as a charitable 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization to provide financial support to construct new facilities, purchase needed equipment and expand services at West Branch Regional Medical Center. It is safe to say that without the generous support of the Tolfree Foundation our state-of-the-art medical center would still only be a dream. Since its establishment, the Foundation has raised more than $2.5 million for projects including construction of West Branch Regional Medical Center; a Helipad for medical evacuation helicopters to land; and a Technology Pad to accommodate mobile services. The foundation has also established an Educational Assistance Fund to provide scholarships for students pursuing healthcare careers. The foundation was also instrumental in improving the pond area located adjacent to the visitor’s parking lot. What was once a mud hole is now a beautiful retreat complete with a lighted fountain, two gazebos and a walking path surrounding the pond.

Every day miracles happen at our hospital…lives are saved, pain is relieved and spirits are mended. The compassion of our physicians, nurses and other medical professionals is beyond compare. We strive to maintain our facilities and provide cutting edge technology. The Foundation acts as a vital link between the hospital’s vision of excellence and it’s financial capacity to provide the best for the individuals we serve. Be assured, all financial contributions from individuals, organizations, and corporations are used to promote health and healing, to provide the latest in technology and to improve the quality of life for those living in our community.

Mission Statement:
To support West Branch Regional Medical Center through the planning and implementation of various fundraising and community relation activities. The Tolfree Foundation believes healthcare is an essential component to the well-being of the community. It is because of this belief that the foundation remains dedicated to the growth of the West Branch Regional Medical Center.
