WBRMC Mammography Technician, A.K.A. “The Mammogram Lady”
Many people know me in the community simply as “The Mammogram Lady”. I’ve worked as a mammographer at the West Branch Medical Arts Center for the past eight years; but I’ve been performing mammograms for twenty seven years. Patients often ask me if this is what I do all day, and if, I enjoy my job? I have to say, what I enjoy the most is being able to have the time to talk with patients; teach them about the need for yearly mammography; and the importance of early detection. This discussion helps to put women at ease as they are receiving their mammogram. I always enjoy hearing back from my patients, both past and present, about the good experience they had at the Medical Arts Center and from the Mammogram Lady!
